This weekend the church next door to Immanuel Lutheran will be hosting their annual Greek Festival. You can check out the link to the Festival here.
During the next few weeks our young adults group (20+ in age) will be studying the 16th century Augsburg (Lutheran) Confession in a special home group setting – which includes dinner. We will discuss some of the history behind the Augsburg Confession of faith and what the distinctive differences are between the various modern Lutheran styles of worship and the doctrinal substance of what the Lutheran Church confesses in the Augsburg Confession. We will also study some of the recent ecumenical convergences between the various denominations – especially the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Church. For those interested in attending the study, I would encourage you to go to Greek Festival and especially do the tour with Fr Michael Courey of St Katherine’s church (Say hi to him on my behalf). I’m sure you will blessed!
